I have been quiet about alot of screwups from orders recieved from Z1 on the forums but enough is enough. Those that know me, know I have a small shop specializing in Z's. I dont have a huge shop, it has enough room for a paint booth and a car lift and a small workshop area. I do this for a living by myself and depend on the company that I send 90% of my customers too for parts. I cant afford to pay for the parts up front and usually get a list of parts for a build together and send my customers an email with links to Z1's website for them to use to order what is needed. For this brand loyality I get nothing in return even though other Z specific companies that I use give me a discount I get nothing from this one and I'm wondering why. I understand in there books they probably dont realize how much business I send there way because each customer orders his or hers own parts and has them all shipped to me. This is not intended to be a bitch about getting no compensation for this loyality but rather to add to why I am so frustrated with them. I have a short memory so I am not going to list all the order screw ups from my past customers but will just talk about my current customers build. A NA to TT conversion as well as Akebono brake upgrade. Because my shop is so small my customers basically come to me with a project in mind and if they are happy with my cost for labor will put down a deposit to be next in line. In the meantime they get there money together and start ordering parts from the list I give them. So when it is there time I have everything I need to get underway. So when I get either the wrong parts or parts that were ordered but not included in the shipment it can set me back waiting for the right stuff to come in. On this current project I recieved a set of testpipes with only one hanger included that was not even welded on. I was told this is the new way they are shipped cause different builds require the hangers to be in different locations......ummmm right. I recieved the other hanger in a followup shipment. We ordered a complete 535 turbo package. Both turbos had the actuators upside down.....no biggie to fix but still. We ordered a complete 120k kit but both idler pulleys were not shipped......had to wait a week for them to ship them out so I will work on the brake install but....... Started to install rear calipers only to find they had not been machined to fit......so now I cant finish putting engine together and cant put brake kit on....twidling thumbs So I got the idler pulleys and got engine together while I'm waiting on correct rear calipers to come in. So today I start working on installing the Z1 2.5 innercooler pipes only to find they sent one correct and one wrong size reducer coupler to the turbo so guess what, I am now waiting on the correct part to come in. I really have been quiet about all this but its costing me money cause once a cars dismantled and on the lift I am stuck if I dont have the right parts and cant get another car in. I have always considered the guys at Z1 friends from my first Znationals where after having issues with my Z, John and Spence helped get me back on the road at basically just the cost of parts even though they were well hungover and I appreciated that but business is business and not even getting a sorry for our screw up or anything has worn on me. So this has been my rant....if I was not sitting here now waiting on the correct parts to come in I probably wouldnt have had the time to type this. Maybe by going to a public forum this will get there shipping/ quality control department a looking over. That is all.......
